Cultural Integration and Research Programme

Running for over 15 years, the only programme of its kind in Ireland.

Started by Dave Barron (M.Ed., B.A., Dip.Ed. Management) former principle of St. Mary's College Carlow, Dave used his array of experience to build this unique and exceptional programme.  

  • 7-14 day programme based on Cultural Research & English Language Usage.
  • Integrate with Irish students who assist in visiting and researching heritage sites in Carlow Town.
  • Prepare a short report based on your research.
  • Give a presentation on your home country or city to your Irish friends.
  • Meet other cultures through presentations and interaction activities (Middle East, China, the Netherlands, Finland).
  • Experience Irish Dancing and Irish Music through professional tuition.
  • Practice Gaelic Football, Hurling and Tag Rugby during fun activities.
  • Stay with an Irish host family.
  • Enjoy a full day tour to Dublin City Centre and Croke Park GAA Museum and Stadium.
  • Receive a 'Certificate of Participation' on successful completion.

My experience with the Erasmus+ Blended Programme is very positive. It gave me an opportunity to learn about Ireland, learn the English language but also I learned to be more independent.
